He stared uneasily at the landscape hurtling past him at a far greater speed than I’m sure he wanted. “Still think you ought to slow down. We’re gonna crash,” he kept muttering.
We rounded a curve to find the roadway completely submerged. I stood on the brakes, but momentum carried us into the lake from which the water had come. In moments, we found ourselves in water about halfway up the doors. Greg gave me a look which might have driven lesser beings to tears. “See. I TOLD you. But did you listen? No!
